Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL)
GCAL is staffed with professional social workers and counselors 24 hours per day, every day, to assist those with urgent and emergency needs.



Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS)
Apply online for Food Stamps, Medicaid, TANF, or Child Care, PeachCare for Kids®, and Parent Services (CAPS).



Family Violence Services
To find help, contact the family violence agency nearest your location. If you are unsure of which city to start with please call Georgia's Family Violence Hotline to be connected with the shelter/program nearest to you.



Social Security Administration
You can use the automated telephone services to get recorded information and to conduct your Social Security business 24 hours a day. If you cannot handle your business through the automated services, you can speak to a Social Security representative between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Generally, you’ll have a shorter wait time if you call during the week after Tuesday.

Georgia Law Center for the Homeless & Poverty
This is a law firm that provides free civil legal services to the homeless. Legal areas of focus are housing, disability, employment, education, and family and domestic issues.



Georgia Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is provided to Georgia Medicaid Members who require Medicaid healthcare services and have no other means of transportation. Southeastrans arranges transportation for all Georgia Medicaid Members who live in the North and Atlanta Regions. It is best to call 3 to 4 business days before you’re in need of transport.
